Prefix Plate Issue Dates
The ‘Prefix Style’ of number plateran from 1983 to 2001 and was taken from the A21 AAA to Y999 YYY range.
It did not use I,O,Q,U or Z as a year/date letter.
From 1983 to 1990 (‘A’ to ‘H’), the numbers 1 to 20 were withheld from all sequences in this system and then from 1990 to 2001 (‘J’ to ‘Y’) they withheld a few other numbers.
